Nice to meet you!

My name is Claudia Kunz (Claudia like the clouds...) and I love colors as much as I love all natural fibers, and I love the process of creating and 'making things alive'. There is always the moment when these things are looking very awkward and then... all of a sudden... they become.

Until I was 35, I lived in Switzerland and then moved with my husband and my oldest son Moritz to Austin. Later on, Benji was born and boy is he proud being a Texan! We enjoy our live in the Hill Country very much and adore our 'pitstop' in Switzerland every summer.

After 15 years my language is a little bit tangled up. At the beginning I had to take a deep breath of courage before every phone call (because texting was not so popular 15 years ago!) and thankfully by now all goes fluent but on the other side all is so fluent, that  my Swiss German and my English merge together in a big puddle. Such is life :-)

Here in Austin we've found our way to Waldorf Education and about 10 years ago I've bought my first wool roving and my felting journey began.

Today, I am happy to offer fiber art and felting workshops for adults throughout the year and also a weekly enrichment program for Waldorf Homeschoolers.

Welcome to Fibers and Fairytales!
